Our worship services are characterized by the beauty of simplicity and the splendor of holiness. You can find a sample of our services in the resources page of this website. But our fundamental principle is that worship is about God. From beginning to end God is the center and the reason for our worship. And so our worship is regulated by His Word, the Bible. Our service is filled with Scripture. Our sermons are expositional which means they consist in the opening and applying of the Bible. Usually the pastor preaches a series of sermons through books of the Bible with an occasional topical sermon. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated once every other month and is for all those who are trusting in Christ – and not themselves – for salvation, and are members in good standing of a Bible-believing church. All such believers are welcomed to the table of the Lord.
In worship we hold to the Regulative Principle of Worship, based upon the Bible, which states that only what God has commanded is lawful to be done in the worship service. Our service is made up primarily of hymns, prayers and reading and exposition of the Word of God. As opposed to much contemporary worship, our services are very simple, and not entertainment driven. We also believe that the whole family should be in the worship service together, so we do not have any separate children’s church.
